Coast Day 2008
Sunday's seafood demonstration at UD Coast Day in Lewes was a huge success! While I was worried about having the last time slot of the day, in previous years about half of the 70 seats are filled, it was all for not. I served every bit of the 70 seafood enchiladas samples that I prepared. The only hiccup of the day was that I left two pans behind at the Virden Center. Once I get the photo downloaded, I'll share a pic of the final creation. One audience member from Milford said "On a scale of one to ten, this is a twelve". That just made my day! Thanks!!!!

Today's Harvest
Check out these tomatoes from my garden! I picked them just before the rainstorm. They are so sweet! I'm growing five varieties: cherry, pear, heirloom, plum, and beefsteak. Yummy! I've also got chives, lemon thyme, dill, rosemary, and basil. I love to cook with them all. Tomorrow's batch will be roasted. I can't wait. To see the tomatoes, click on "Full Story" below.
2008 USPCA Conference
I returned from the 2008 United States Personal Chef Conference in Tucson, AZ earlier this week. What a blast! I took several seminars and met Chefs from all over North America. I'm looking forward to incoporating what I learned into my business. Some of the seminars and workshops included: Planning and Executing Large Events (100+), Food Column Writing, Food for Fitness Aficionados, Gluten Free and Low Carb Cooking, Kosher Cooking, and Dinner Parties. I aslo crashed the pasta making demo. The fire roasted tomato chipolte salsa and the fresh tomato pesto were delicious over the wonderful fresh made pasta. Did I mention I met food stylist, author, professional chef, and celebrity caterer: Denise Vivaldo. She is a wonderful story teller and quite the character.
